About the event
What is Cairo Design Week?
Cairo Design Week showcases Egyptian and international design across historic neighbourhoods. The 2026 edition ran from 19 to 28 November in Zamalek, Downtown Cairo and Heliopolis, adding larger public installations and more international participation. The programme spans architecture, interiors, product design and craft, presented in galleries, heritage buildings and public spaces. The 2025 edition was the festival's third, and the fourth edition in 2026 introduced larger public installations, city-wide activations and more international participants.
Designers, architects, developers, collectors and lifestyle media attend, alongside brands launching collections. Coverage across multiple venues makes photography and video important for participants. The festival is followed by regional design and lifestyle media, as well as developers seeking new talent and suppliers. Participating brands and studios can use professional imagery and short films to present their work to clients, press and award juries long after the festival closes.
