What is the Pyramids Half Marathon?
The Pyramids Half Marathon offers professionally timed races set against the Giza plateau. The weekend includes three distances, a 5K, a 10K and the half marathon, making it accessible to beginners, families and experienced runners. The 2025 edition attracted more than 10,000 runners representing over 120 nationalities, and many travel to Egypt specifically for the race. The 5K takes place on Friday 11 December, with the 10K and half marathon on Saturday 12 December 2026. Marakez is the event's title partner.
Participants include running clubs, corporate teams, families, charities and international running tourists.
