What is Cairo Water Week?
Cairo Water Week is Egypt's flagship international forum on water policy. The 2026 programme covers four main areas: shared water resource management, agriculture and food security, AI and digital tools for water management, and governance with innovative financing. The 7th Arab Water Conference runs on 26 and 27 October, and an exhibition presents water and sanitation technologies. The ministry reports 122 research abstracts submitted across five thematic areas, alongside youth competitions such as the Young Water Innovators challenge.
Participants include ministers, senior officials, international organisations, researchers, development partners and young innovators.
