About the event
What is Expand North Star?
Expand North Star gathers founders, venture capital firms, corporate investors and government start-up programmes over three days. The 2026 edition focuses on scaling start-ups, new sources of capital, commercial deep tech and emerging markets. It includes the Supernova pitch competition, an ENS Founders Academy, a DigiHealth-Biotech area and NS Play for consumer tech. Investors, founders and government programmes meet through pre-arranged sessions and open networking on the show floor.
In 2025 the event hosted 2,050 exhibiting start-ups from 96 countries, more than 1,300 investors and 5,340 pre-arranged meetings. Start-ups often have only a few minutes to make an impression, so short pitch clips, founder interviews and professional photos help them follow up with investors and share their story with customers.
