Expression: from 100 to 450 leads a month
Expression was getting only 100 leads a month from Google Ads, SEO and social, with no room to raise its budget. A2Z researched demand, added IELTS, Arabic and Russian classes, sharpened offers and rebuilt the funnel, reaching 450 leads per month on average, a 5.8% average conversion rate and 3000% Instagram follower growth, within the same spend.
The challenge
Expression was running Google Ads, SEO and social media, yet the three channels together were producing only 100 leads a month. There was no budget headroom, so the usual answer of simply spending more was off the table. Any improvement had to come from making the existing channels and spend work harder: better products to promote, more compelling offers and a funnel that turned more of the existing traffic into enquiries.
The objective
Generate more leads and more sales from the same online channels, Google Ads, SEO and social, within the same spend. In other words, the aim was to show that smarter products, sharper offers and a better-built funnel can outperform a bigger budget, and to grow the audience on social channels along the way.
Our strategy
We started with research rather than ads. Looking at what people were actively searching for and asking about surfaced clear demand for IELTS, Arabic and Russian classes, so these products were added to the centre's offering. Matching courses to existing demand is often the fastest way to lift lead volume, because campaigns no longer have to create interest from scratch; they meet people who are already looking.
Next, we sharpened the offers with a 30% course discount, giving prospects a clear reason to act now, and rebuilt the funnel from ad to enquiry so more visitors converted. Together, these changes lifted lead volume, the average conversion rate, Facebook and Instagram followers, social traffic and newsletter sign-ups, all within the existing budget. More of the same audience was turned into enquiries, simply because the offer and the path to enquire were better.
What you can apply
- Before raising budgets, research demand; the right product can lift leads more than extra spend.
- A clear, time-sensitive offer gives prospects a reason to enquire today.
- Rebuild the funnel end to end; small conversion gains multiply across every channel.
Questions, answered.
How can we get more leads without increasing our ad budget?
Start with what you promote and how. Research which products or courses people are already searching for, make the offer more compelling, and fix weak points in the funnel between ad and enquiry. Better conversion means each dirham of existing spend produces more leads.
What does rebuilding a lead-generation funnel involve?
It means reviewing every step from the first ad or search result to the submitted form: targeting, ad message, landing page, offer, form design and follow-up. Each step is improved so fewer people drop off, which raises the conversion rate across Google Ads, SEO and social.
Do discounts really help training centres generate leads?
A well-structured discount can give prospects a clear reason to enquire now rather than later, especially when combined with courses that match real demand. It works best as part of a sharper overall offer and a smooth funnel, not as a stand-alone tactic.
