About the event
What is Riyadh Book Fair?
The fair is organised by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission. The 2025 edition opened in early October at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, with Uzbekistan as guest of honour. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 10 to 19 December 2026. Because of this change in timing, the 2027 edition is expected in late 2027, but the commission has not announced dates or a venue.
The 2025 edition featured more than 2,000 publishers and agencies from over 25 countries and reported over 1.38 million visitors. Alongside book sales, the programme includes talks, signings, workshops and children's activities. Publishers and cultural partners can use photos of signings, short author interviews and recap videos to promote their titles.
