About the event
What is Esports World Cup?
The Esports World Cup brings the world's leading gaming clubs to compete across more than 20 titles over several weeks. Riyadh hosted the first two editions in 2024 and 2025. Because of the regional situation, the 2026 edition was moved to Paris, but the Esports Foundation has said the event will return to Riyadh in 2027. Counter-Strike 2 is the first confirmed title, scheduled for 16 July to 1 August 2027, with the full programme still to come.
The 2025 edition reported around 3 million visitors in Riyadh and 750 million viewers worldwide, with a prize pool of more than $70 million. Sponsors, publishers, team partners and consumer brands run activations, fan zones and creator content throughout the event.
