About the event
What is Expand North Star?
Expand North Star began in 2016 as GITEX Future Stars and grew into a stand-alone event for founders, venture capital and scale-ups. It features conference stages, investor meetings and the Supernova Challenge pitch competition. The 2025 edition ran at Dubai Harbour in October; the 2026 edition moves to Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai on 8–10 December 2026, integrated with GITEX Global. The 2027 edition is expected in December, but dates are not yet confirmed.
According to the organiser, the 2025 edition featured about 2,050 exhibiting startups from 96 countries, more than 1,300 investors and around 400 speakers. For startups, a short pitch video, a clean founder portrait and live posts from the show floor can matter as much as the meetings themselves. Sponsors and pavilions also need content that shows traffic, deal-making and energy to audiences back home.
