About the event
What is Abu Dhabi Marathon?
The marathon offers a full 42.195 km race plus 10 km, 5 km and 2.5 km family races, supported by a fan village and a series of warm-up races, including the Al Dhannah 10 km and the Al Ain half marathon. The race is open to runners of all levels, from elite athletes to families. The eighth edition takes place on 12 December 2026, so the 2027 race is expected in December.
The seventh edition drew more than 37,000 runners, a record that reflects the race's growing profile among international road races. With tens of thousands of participants and spectators along the route, sponsors and corporate teams benefit from course photography, finish-line video and quick reels that capture their involvement and can be shared with runners, staff and customers on race day.
