About the event
What is Liwa International Festival?
The festival combines motorsport on Moreeb Dune — hill climbs, drifting, drag racing and Monster Jam — with falconry, camel racing, concerts and family attractions at Liwa Village. The 2025–26 edition ran from 12 December 2025 to 3 January 2026, and the 2026–27 edition runs from 11 December 2026 to early January 2027, so a similar window is expected in 2027–28.
The 2025–26 edition welcomed more than 700,000 visitors, with Liwa Village alone attracting 274,440 visitors, and motorsport participation rose by 47%. The desert setting is highly visual, and sponsors and automotive brands can use drone footage, action shots and short reels to reach audiences far beyond the dunes, both during the festival and in the months after.
