About the event
What is Frieze Abu Dhabi?
Frieze Abu Dhabi is the evolution of Abu Dhabi Art, which ran for 17 years before DCT Abu Dhabi partnered with Frieze, the company behind fairs in London, New York, Los Angeles and Seoul. The fair brings leading international and regional galleries to the Saadiyat Cultural District, with talks and public programmes across the week. Deutsche Bank is Global Lead Partner. The first edition ran from 20 to 22 November 2026.
The inaugural 2026 edition featured 84 galleries from 64 cities across 37 countries and regions. Collectors often discover work online first, so galleries and partners benefit from well-lit booth photography, short artist interviews and fast stories that reach collectors, curators and press during and after fair week, including those who follow the fair from abroad.
